As soon as your baby’s teeth appear (erupt) you should start to brush them using a smear of toothpaste on a baby brush, this should contain no less than 1000ppm Fluoride (look at the ingredients list on the back of the tube).

 0 – 3 year olds
Need a smear of toothpaste with no less than 1000ppm Fluoride

3 – 6 year olds
Need a pea-size amount of toothpaste with 1350 – 1500ppm Fluoride

7 year olds+
Need a pea-size amount of toothpaste with 1350ppm and above Fluoride
